Client council
Wanted: representatives of the Amsterdam patient
The client council of the Regional Organization of General Practitioners Amsterdam (ROHA) and General Practitioner Emergency Stations Amsterdam (HpA) is looking for new members. As a member of the client council, you can ensure that the patient’s perspective is always included in the policy of both organizations. The client council provides solicited and unsolicited advice on topics related to direct care for patients and its quality. In this way, the client council helps to raise awareness about the people we do it all for.
Do you recognize yourself in the profile below? Then we would love to hear from you!
- You have a warm heart for (acute) GP care.
- You think it is important to strengthen the position of patients.
- You are interested in health issues.
- You are flexibly available for 8 to 12 hours per month.

Do you want to have a say and help decide on the course of these dynamic healthcare organizations on behalf of Amsterdam patients? Or do you know someone who is suitable for this? Send your CV and a short motivation by email to Annette André de la Porte, official secretary no later than 1 October 2025: clientenraad@rohamsterdam.nl
Introductory interviews will take place in week 42 (13 to 17 October).
Amsterdam is a diverse city. We welcome applicants from diverse backgrounds, education, perspectives, and experiences and encourage everyone to apply. A volunteer allowance is available for the work.

What does the client council do?
The Amsterdam GP Emergency Stations (HpA) and the Amsterdam Regional Organisation of General Practitioners (ROHA) have a joint client council. Both healthcare organizations focus on the wishes and needs of patients. Patient safety, good quality of care and the patient perspective are of paramount importance.
The client council (CR) is an independent body that focuses on the general interest of patients (and visitors) of the HpA and the general practitioners affiliated with the ROHA. According to the Participation of Clients of Healthcare Institutions Act (Wmcz 2018), the CR is authorised to provide solicited and unsolicited advice on the (intended) policy of the organisations. The CR strives for employee participation that concerns direct care to the patient and improves the quality thereof. He does this by being informed, but also by actively collecting information from both organizations.
