Moniek Köhlen
Interim director
Since July 6, 2026, Moniek Köhlen has been interim director of Huisartsenspoedposten Amsterdam. She succeeds Corine van Geffen, from whom we said goodbye on 1 July. Read the news item about this.
Moniek is trained as a gynaecologist and has extensive experience in healthcare and the management of healthcare organisations. From 2011 to 2025, she worked as medical director of Amsterdam UMC. In this position, she was responsible for quality, patient safety and capacity management. She was also in charge of crisis management and the organization of acute care. In addition, she participated in regional collaborations, such as the ROAZ and the Acute Care Coalition.
Until July 1, 2026, Moniek was interim head of obstetrics and prenatal diagnostics at Amsterdam UMC. With her broad experience and expertise, she fulfils the role of interim director in a period in which the supervisory board is carefully working on the recruitment of a new director.
