Renovation of GP post North and ER
23-11-2022 -Huisartsenposten Amsterdam, Amsterdam-Noord location and the Emergency Room of the BovenIJ have been working together intensively in the field of acute care for years. We are now going to further shape this collaboration with the conversion into one integrated emergency station. This started on Tuesday 22 November.
During the renovation, the emergency room, plaster room and the GP post will be relocated in the hospital. This allows the care for our patients to continue in the same way. In the spring of 2023, the new Amsterdam-Noord Emergency Station will be festively opened.
Temporarily other locations
- the plaster room can be found on the outpatient square at surgery and orthopedics from 15 November: Route 24
- you can reach the Emergency Room from 22 November via Route 39
- You can reach the GP Medical Post from 22 November at the neurology outpatient clinic:
Please note
During the renovation, the entrance to both the Emergency Room and the GP Post will be through the main entrance of the BovenIJ. The approach routes for the ambulances will also change and go through the forecourt. Ambulances will drive over the sidewalk to the temporary entrance. Pay close attention to this during your visit to our hospital.
Drop off and pick up
Dropping off and/or picking up a patient can be done at the main entrance of the BovenIJ. You can then park your car in the parking lot.
One emergency station Amsterdam-Noord
The Amsterdam-Noord Emergency Station fits in with the ambition of both the GP Post and the BovenIJ to organize acute care in an innovative way, with appropriate integrated acute care as a starting point, in the right place by the right healthcare professional. Sometimes with self-care advice, sometimes by the GP and sometimes by the ER doctor, where we ensure that the patient is treated in the right place through unambiguous triage at the gate.
