Corine van Geffen
Since September 2019, I have been a director of General Practitioner Emergency Stations Amsterdam (HpA). Throughout my working life I have worked with great passion in healthcare in all kinds of different positions. With this broad background and my experience as a director, I am committed to accessible and reliable GP emergency care for all Amsterdammers. Patients must receive the right care at the right time, and general practitioners and other care providers must be optimally supported in this regard.
Digitization plays an increasingly important role in this. As a member of the board of trade association InEen , I have the portfolio of information policy and data availability and I work on better data exchange between healthcare providers. With a strong digital infrastructure and more cohesion in national and regional initiatives, healthcare will become safer, more efficient and future-proof.
My motivation is that healthcare professionals can fully focus on their patients, without unnecessary administrative pressure. That is why I am constantly looking for solutions to challenges such as staff shortages and an ageing population, including by strengthening cooperation and using innovative technology. In this way, we are building a resilient emergency care network in Amsterdam step by step.
